“Last night I was lucky enough to experience the spectacle that is Brother From Another. 
There are function bands…and then there’s Brother From Another. It’s like they’ve taken every stereotype, every cliché, every negative aspect of ‘the cover band’, and thrown it to the wind, replacing it with an organic, suave, and masterful approach. These guys get it. 
They know exactly how to work a crowd, and it sucks you into this sort of magical shared experience; it seems like they couldn’t fail to give an audience the night of their lives! When you watch Brother From Another, it’s like you’re listening to a melting pot of seriously talented, professional musicians come together for the very first time, and you’re privy to the magic that happens as they spark off each other’s creativity. The reality is that they’ve been grafting at it for years, honing their craft, and sculpting a setlist full of unexpected twists and turns. It seems like the band’s favourite thing to do is to squash together the highlights of a whole handful of songs from a particular genre, artist, or era into an utterly unique mashup; with some slick changes, dynamics, and plot twists, you get to hear the best of the best in a totally new format. The band covers genres from old school soul, through to funk, disco, hip-hop and R&B, as well as being the only live band I’ve ever seen play UK Garage tunes live (and they were even better than the originals, I’m sure!)
This is a band that thrives off being original, yet somehow playing exactly what you want to hear. Bravo!
